Registration is now open for the 3rd Annual Petra Janjic Memorial Golf Tournament on Saturday June 20th at Tyandaga Golf Course in Burlington.  Thanks to your generous support, in two years we have raised over $100,000 for the Petra Janjic Memorial Scholarship - an academic scholarship in Petra's name for a graduating Hamilton District School Board student - to celebrate her memory forever.  We are looking forward to an amazing event in 2026 and thank our participants, sponsors, donors, and volunteers in advance for making a tremendous impact.

The 2nd Annual Petra Janjic Memorial Golf Tournament is now in the books.

We’re still riding high from an incredible day on the course - and at Jersey's Bar & Grill - and it’s all thanks to you.

Whether you golfed, sponsored, donated, volunteered, or cheered us on, you helped make this year’s Petra Janjic Memorial Golf Tournament (www.puttingforpetra.com) a huge success.

We’re thrilled to share that we didn’t just hit our fundraising goal—we beat it. Together, we raised $55,000 in support of the Petra Janjic Scholarship Fund. (We had announced $52,500 at the event, but a few last-minute gifts pushed us even higher—amazing!)

This year’s Petra Janjic Memorial Scholarship winner is Jack Denis, a Saltfleet High School graduate who will be attending the University of Toronto this fall. Jack embodies the spirit of curiosity, kindness, and academic drive that Petra was known for, and we’re proud to support his next chapter.

All proceeds from the Petra Janjic Memorial Golf Tournament go to fund the Petra Janjic Memorial Scholarship - a significant financial award for a graduating HWDSB student - managed and administered by the Hamilton Foundation for Student Success (HFSS), a registered charity.

We also want to recognize and celebrate Cari Gangaram, whose incredible commitment to Petra's legacy continues to make a lasting impact. Cari completes an annual 50 km walk to raise funds for the Petra Janjic Memorial Scholarship, and her dedication continues to inspire us all.  Over the past two year's Cari's fundraising efforts have raised over $12,000!
